Lady Bulldogs Sweep Oakwood
Fisk climbs back to .500 record with conference win.
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – (September 24, 2024) – Trinity Crawford had a game-high ten kills and four blocks, to help lead the Fisk University Lady Bulldogs (11-11, 4-0 HBCUAC) to a 3-0 (25-17, 25-10, 25-22) victory over Oakwood University (4-9, 2-3 HBCUAC) in Huntsville, Alabama.
The Lady Bulldogs started fast, converting 16 kills, on a blistering .333 hitting percentage in the first set. HBCUAC Setter of the Week Trinity Britt quarterbacked the offense to the tune of 26 assists, which was a game high. On the defensive end, Nialah Gupton scooped up a game high 16 digs, while HBCUAC Attacker of the Week added 12. Britt just missed a double-double with nine digs.
The victory brought Fisk's record to .500 for the first time this season. They will now be on a four-game homestand starting this Friday when they take on Wiley University.
