Tuesday, September 7, 2021:

According to the NAIA, conferences and institutions will have authority over COVID requirements pertaining to regular season play. Effective immediately, Fisk University requires all student athletes to be vaccinated. Pursuant to this policy, all Fisk student-athletes, athletic related staff, coaches, officials, and auxiliary groups (e.g., coaches, officials, marching bands, dance & cheer) participating in Fisk University sponsored sports are required to be fully vaccinated with a CDC-authorized COVID-19 vaccine . Additionally, Fisk University is requiring proof of vaccination for all spectators and mandatory mask mandate remains in affect for all games. Fisk University is committed to providing the safest environment possible for our student athletes. Our decision regarding vaccinations is supported by the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine (AMSSM).

All Fisk University student athletes must be fully vaccinated by September 30, 2021 in order to continue participation in NAIA sponsored sports. Coaches will submit an updated roster on October 1, 2021 so vaccinations can be verified by the office of Student Engagement.
