Lady Bulldogs Head to Huntsville to Take on Oakwood
Fisk looks to extend conference streak in midweek tilt.
HUNTSVILLE, Ala.- (September 24, 2024) – The Fisk University Lady Bulldog volleyball team is on a roll. Last week, they went 3-1 in their four-match homestand, including a five-set instant classic against conference champion Talladega College. It was the first time the Lady Bulldogs (10-11, 3-0 HBCUAC) defeated Talladega since 2017. Today, they will take a quick trip to Huntsville, Alabama, to take on the Oakwood University Ambassadors (3-8, 1-2 HBCUAC).
Key points to consider:
Fisk cannot rest on its laurels against an Oakwood team that is 0-2 against them. The Ambassadors are 3-1 at home. Their gym has been a tough place to play for opponents because of the atmosphere of the home environment.
The Lady Bulldogs need to start fast and keep the pressure going. They will also need to use their bench to prepare for four more conference games this weekend.
Game 22: Fisk University (10-11, 3-0 HBCUAC) at Oakwood University (3-8, 1-2 HBCUAC)
Date/Time: Tuesday, September 24 | 8:00 p.m. (CST)
Location: Oakwood University – Huntsville, Alabama
