DeShaun Holden is the owner of Top Notch Training Gym, one of the most esteemed gymnastics facilities in Georgia and across the nation. With a deep-rooted passion for gymnastics, DeShaun has coached athletes at all levels, from compulsory to elite, shaping champions who have achieved success at state, regional, national, and international competitions.

Holden's journey in gymnastics began as a competitive athlete at the Gemini School of Gymnastics, where he trained under the guidance of Skip Zimmerman. This foundation laid the groundwork for his lifelong dedication to the sport. At the age of 14, Holden faced the challenge of balancing his training with the need to contribute to his tuition and travel expenses, a circumstance that fostered resilience, determination, and independence—qualities that continue to define his character and approach to coaching.

Seeking growth and camaraderie, Holden transitioned to the Apollo School of Gymnastics, where he trained alongside peers his age, and later concluded his competitive career at Orlando Metro. At just 16 years old, he became a certified gymnastics judge, officiating competitions across Florida, Georgia, and other states . This experience broadened his perspective on the sport, enriching his understanding and enabling him to support athletes from a different vantage point.

In 2010, Holden shifted his focus entirely to coaching, channeling his expertise and passion into developing young athletes. As the owner of Top Notch Training Gym, he has cultivated an environment that combines technical excellence with a strong sense of community. Known for its diversity and inclusivity, Top Notch provides a supportive space where gymnasts from all backgrounds can excel. The gym’s athletes consistently achieve remarkable milestones, including securing college scholarships and representing the U.S. on competitive stages.
