Gymnastics Heads West to Take on Oregon State University
Final regular season matchup will be tough against the 11th ranked team in the country
CORVALLIS, Ca. (March 20, 2025) – The Fisk University Bulldog Gymnastics team will travel out west for their final regular season meet against the 11th ranked Oregon State University Beavers. The matchup is shaping up to be an exciting one. Fisk is on a roll with six consecutive wins, and having Morgan Price back in action adds even more strength to their lineup. On the other hand, Oregon State's perfect 7-0 home record makes them a formidable opponent. It's going to be a thrilling clash of talent and determination.
Fisk interim head coach Nuriya Mack is no stranger to the Oregon State program. Her sister Niya Mack competed for them. Niya is a manager for Fisk and will be traveling to her alma mater. The irony of this season is, Fisk's first meet this year was at Nuriya's old school Kent State.
"Oregon State has been very good for a long time," said interim head coach Nuriya Mack. "I'm glad Niya will get to experience what I experienced earlier in the season. We had a good week of practice, so I am excited to see how we look against a great team. Nationals is around the corner so we need to be sharp."
Event Details
The event is scheduled to be held at Gill Coliseum on March 21st, with the competition beginning at 5 PM (CST). Spectators can anticipate an impressive exhibition of routines and maneuvers as both teams compete for dominance.
