Price Takes All-Around at the Lindsey Ferris Invitational
Fast start propels Lady Bulldogs to their second highest team score of the year

WASHINGTON, D.C. – In a highly competitive meet, Fisk University junior Morgan Price won the All-Around title in the Lindsey Ferris Invitational in Washington, D.C. with a score of 39.450. The title came against three NCAA Division I schools in; host George Washington University, Penn University, and Yale University.
"We tied for second in vault and was second in beam against three strong teams," said Fisk head coach Corrinne Tarver. "Morgan's floor exercise was beautiful, and we received some strong performances. I am encouraged about how the rest of the season will go."
Fast Start on Floor
With a strong start on their Floor Exercise rotation, the Fisk Lady Bulldog Gymnastics team kicked off an exciting day of competition at the Lindsey Ferris Invitational. The lineup featured Kaylei McDonald, Liberty Mora, Kendall Guy, Ciniah Rosby, Jada Reese, and Price collectively scored 48.000. Price led the way with a stellar 9.875, setting the tone for what would be a memorable day.
Vault Takes Center Stage
Next up, Fisk delivered a program-best performance this season on vault, posting an impressive 48.825. Each routine built on the previous one, showcasing the team's depth and determination. Reese led off with a sound 9.5. Guy, who returned to the lineup after resting on Sunday, earned a solid 9.6. Then the seasoned vets stepped up in style, Rosby posted a strong 9.725, Aliyah Reed-Hammon added a 9.750, and Allie Berkley achieved a personal best and season-high 9.825.
The standout of the event, however, was Price, who took first earning a near-perfect 9.925 score. With one judge awarding a perfect score, Price's performance highlighted the Bulldogs' potential for perfection.
Resilience on Bars
On the Uneven Bars, the team continued to show growth, improving their score from their last meet by two points. Price once again led the way with a 9.8, while freshman Aiyana Thomas making her collegiate debut, marked a promising start to her career.
Strong Finish on Beam
The Bulldogs finished the meet on the Balance Beam. Their solid 48.625 total was their second-highest event score of the day. Mora contributed a steady 9.7, followed by Reed-Hammon's 9.725. Price capped off the event with an exceptional score of 9.850, leading the team to a strong finish.
Final Score and Next Steps
The Bulldogs rounded out the competition with a 191.225, marking their second-highest score of the season. This performance showcased the team's resilience, talent, and upward momentum. As we head into our meet at Rutgers this Sunday February 3, we're eager to build on this strong foundation and continue striving for excellence.
