Fisk Gymnastics Earns Five National Qualifiers
WEST CHESTER, Pa.- Today, the USA Gymnastics Association annonced their qualifiers for the Collegiate National Championships. In an inspiring display of skill and determination, five gymnasts from Fisk University made the cut. The elite competition is set to unfold at West Chester University in West Chester, PA, from April 11-14, marking a significant milestone for the Fisk Athletics program.
Leading the pack once again is Morgan Price. Price, a sophomore, has made this far for the second consecutive year. She's proven her exceptional talents by qualifying for the all-around competition. At the 2023 Nationals, she achieved remarkable accolades: First-Team All-American on the Floor, Second-Team All-American on the Bars, and First-Team All-American in the All-Around, spotlighting her as one of the country's elite collegiate gymnasts.
Liberty Mora, another sophomore, has showcased her prowess on the Balance Beam, earning her second consecutive national qualification in this event. Her remarkable performance in 2023 earned her the title of First-Team All-American on the Balance Beam, highlighting her as a specialist to watch in this year's competition.
Aliyah Reed-Hammon, a dynamic gymnast known for her powerful performances, has qualified for the second time on Vault. Her explosive talent and technical precision make her a formidable competitor and a key asset to the Fisk Gymnastics Team.
Newcomers, Ciniah Rosby and Jada Reese, both in their freshman seasons, have made significant strides. Rosby has qualified on the Balance Beam, while Reese, overcame who an early-season injury, showed remarkable resilience and skill to qualify on the Floor Exercise. Their achievements speak volumes about their potential and the bright future of Fisk University Gymnastics.
In only their second season, the qualification of five gymnasts to the National Championships is a momentous achievement for Fisk University. It not only showcases the individual talents of our athletes but also underscores the strength and growth of our gymnastics program.
