Gymnastics Has Strong Showing in the Michigan State Quad
EAST LANSING, Mi. - Going into this Saturday's meet in Nashville, the Fisk Lady Bulldog Gymnastics Team were searching for momentum. They gained it with a solid showing at the Michigan State University Quad meet. Fisk went up against the eighth ranked team in the country, the Michigan State Spartans, the Cenral Michigan Chippewas, and Greenville University. Their score place them third in the quad meet, defeating Greenville.
"I was pleased to see the team put together a strong competition," said Fisk Head Coach Corrinne Tarver." We received our second highest scre of the season and improved our National Qualifying Score. This is a great lead up to our final meet of the season."
Fisk obtained a new second highest team all-around score earning 192.925 points. That score was accumulated from their third highest team bars score (47.95), second highest team beam score (48.825), and third highest team floor score (48.65). Morgan Price tied the fifth highest individual all-around score with a 39.275 effort. Price also tied her individual bars record, scoring 9.9. The 9.9 remains the highest score by an HBCU gymnast.
