Lady Dawgs Fall to Stillman
Dee Scott and Courtney Lumpkins combine for 34 points in three-point loss.
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (November 16, 2024) – Dee Scott scored 17 points, and grabbed 11 rebounds, and Courtney Lumpkins also had 17 points off the bench but it was not enough as the Fisk University Lady Bulldogs (1-3, 1-1 HBCUAC) lost to Stillman College (5-1, 2-0 HBCUAC) 60-57 in HBCUAC action from Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
We ended with 22 turnovers and that killed us tonight," said Fisk assistant coach Mya Allen. "We have to continue to work on getting the kinks out. This is a long season, so we have time. We just have to put the work in."
Stillman keyed on stopping HBCUAC Preseason First Teamer Jayla Bibbs. Bibbs, this week's conference Defensive Player of the Week, went 1-12 from the field and was help to four points. She did grab nine rebounds, but her offensive punch has carried the Lady Bulldogs all season. Keeli Burton-Oliver chipped in with ten points, giving her double figures in three of the four games this season.
The Lady Bulldogs will finish their three game Alabama swing when they take on NCAA DI Samford University on Sunday.
