Buckhanon Earns Sixth GCAC Weekly Honor

For the sixth time this season, Fisk University Lady Bulldog power forward Maya Buckhanon was named the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference's Women's Basketball Player of the -Week. Buckhanon scored 29 points, shooting 12 of 18 from the field, grabbed 16 rebounds and had four blocked shots in Fisk's only game last week. an 86-50 road win against the University of the Virgin Islands. 

 

Buckhanon and her Lady Bulldog teammates will be in action this week with three home conference games, starting Tuesday against Oakwood University.
