Dawgs Look to Protect Home Court Against Voorhees
NASHVILLE (December 7, 2024) – The Fisk University Bulldogs are in of a win when they take on the Voorhees University Tigers (1 p.m. Fisk Athletics YouTube). Fisk (4-9, 2-2 HBCUAC) dropped a tough home division game on Thursday 60-55 to Talladega College. The Bulldogs had as much as a 15-point lead but squandered in when they got cold in the second half.
"They played us tough, and we couldn't find the basket," said Fisk head coach Jeremiah Crutcher. "We can't lose home games in this conference if we want to put ourselves in a good position. We will see Saturday who will step up. Voorhees gives us a challenge, just like every other team in the HBCUAC."
KEY MATCHUP
Fisk will need to contain 6'6 forward Keyshawn Evans, who averages 16.3 points per game. Look for multiple Bulldogs to rotate on Evans, most likely starting with Mitch Seay.
