Dawgs Look to Stop Losing Streak When They Take on Rust

NASHVILLE (November 20, 2024) – The Fisk University Bulldogs need a win, when they take on the Rust College Bearcats (0-3, 0-1 HBCUAC 7:30 p.m. Fisk Athletics YouTube).

Fisk (3-5, 1-1 HBCUAC) has lost three out of the past four games after winning two in a row. They are looking to stay in the hunt in the conference's east division.

"We have to protect our house," said Fisk head coach Jeremiah Crutcher. "We lost at Stillman on Saturday. We can't afford to lose too many more in conference play, especially at home. We are playing catchup. We both lost to Stillman so Rust needs this too. We need to play well."

KEY MATCHUP

Rust's Jordyne Fordyuce has played the past two games and is averaging 19.0 points per game. He is shooting 67 percent from behind the three-point arc. Look for Fisk to run several players at Fordyuce to try to keep him at bay. Fisk's Michael Ashley will need to keep controling the glass. He is averaging 14.5 rebounds per game in HBCUAC games
