Fisk to Honor Four Volley Dogs on Senior Night
Final home game against Oakwood could give Fisk their highest total in the modern era.
NASHVILLE (October 24, 2024) – The Fisk University Lady Bulldog volleyball team has enjoyed a banner season. Tonight, they will close out the home portion of their season when they take on Oakwood University (9-14, 7-6 HBCUAC). Fisk (21-14, 12-1 HBCUAC) will honor four players playing their final home games. A win would give Fisk 22 mins, the highest total in the modern era.
Seniors Trinity Crawford and Aja Coffey played four years in Nashville, while grad students Anaya Duncan and Sydney Willis are finishing their lone season in blue and gold.
Both teams are trying to keep pace for the HBCU Athletic Conference's postseason tournament seedings. Fisk is in second place but will need to win their final two games and get help to be the regular season champs. Oakwood is currently in fifth place and playing its final conference game.
KEYS TO THE MATCH:
Senior Night is always an emotional match. Fisk will need to try to place loose but solid early. Jumping out early and resting before traveling tomorrow to take on Talladega will be key.
