****Freed-Hardeman Invite Preview****Volleyball Travels to Freed-Hardeman for Third Straight Four Game Weekend
Lady Bulldogs look to stay focused on the task at hand.
HENDERSON, Tenn. (August 30, 2024) – The Fisk Lady Bulldog Volleyball Team have been traveling the whole month of August. The schedule has been grueling, but it has prepared them for their conference season. After sweeping Bethel University this past Tuesday, they will jump on a bus and play four games in two days for the third straight weekend. This time at the Freed-Hardeman Invitational.
"We switched some things up and they stuck to the script," said head coach Jessica Enderle after the Bethel match. "They bought in, and the result showed their commitment. This stretch is about staying focused. We have some bumps and bruises. Hopefully, this will make us stronger."
Sophomore outside hitter Reagan Jones has been a bright spot for Fisk. Setter Trinity Britt and Jones have won weekly conference awards for both weeks this season. Jones ranks fourth in the country in kills. Her consistency has been one of the things that the Lady Bulldogs will lean upon for the rest of the season.
The Lady Bulldogs have overcome several adverse situations early in the season. The latest was Tuesday when the door to their locker room was jammed before leaving to play Bethel. Fisk personnel worked hard and finally were able to get them in. The team had just enough time to grab their gear and hit the road, something that Jones felt brought them together.
"Coach Jess always talks to us about playing through adversity. We all sat together in the gym and relaxed. We let the coaches handle that. We watched film and did things to prepare for the match. In the end, it worked out."
The Wallace Media Group "Pick2Click" is Reagan Jones. Jones will try to keep her HBCU Athletic Conference Attacker of the Week streak going.

Enderle Of the Road
Head coach Jessica Enderle and assistant coach Laikin Ramirez were on the road perfecting the team's roster. This year's team has added three former NCAA players in Aaliyah Bethea (Virginia State University), Laila Esters (Miles College) and Sydney Willis (Belmont University). Reagan Jones was added from Berry College and Anayah Duncan comes to Fisk from conference foe Dillard University. Sahnee Dillahunt-Nedd redshirted last season. She played at Tennessee State University.
Jones and Britt Grab HBCU Athletic Conference Players of the Week
Reagan Jones was named Attacker of the Week, Trinity Britt won the Setter of the Week honor for the second consecutive week. Jones ranks four in the country in total kills while Britt sits in tenth place in assists.
Re of Light
Sophomore Nebthet Re will look to cash in on an outstanding freshman year. She is the reigning Setter and Freshman of the Year in the conference. She also was named to the First Team. Re had a banner first campaign, finishing with 388 assists, which gave her 7.76 assists per set in conference play. The versatile Marietta, Georgia native also had 100 points on 67 kills, 27 aces and 11 blocks. Defensively, she had 130 digs, which gave her 2.60 digs per set in conference play.

Capping Off a Great Career
Seniors Aja Coffey and Trinity Crawford have both been great ambassadors for Fisk Volleyball. On the court, their leadership can be seen and heard. As freshmen, they were part of a team that won 12 games. The past two seasons, the team has enjoyed 20-win seasons, with last year's team being the first to compete in the GCAC Championship game. This year, they were both named captains of the team.
Next Up: The Lady Bulldogs will play their final road match before their home opener when they take on Trevecca Nazarene in a scrimmage on September 2.
