Lady Dawgs Start Fast, Then Cruise to Third Straight Win
Fisk gets four players in double figures to gain fourth conference win.
NASHVILLE (December 7, 2024) – Dee Scott scored 21 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead four players in double figures in the Fisk University Lady Bulldog 73-52 win over Voorhees University.
Fisk (4-4, 4-1 HBCUAC) led all the way, going up by as many as 17 in the first half. Voorhees (6-1, 2-1 HBCUAC) was able to chip away at the lead in the third quarter, cutting the lead to 43-35 at the 3:16 mark. The Lady Bulldogs went on a 12-0 run to finish the quarter to put the game away.
For the second game in a row, freshman Teniya Williams started and scored in double figures, finishing with 17 points, 11 coming in the first quarter. She was 4-of-5 from behind the three-point arc. Courtney Lumpkins chipped in 13 points, and Jayla Bibbs recorded a double-double of ten points and 14 rebounds.
Fisk will travel to Lebanon, Tennessee on Tuesday to play a non-conference game against Cumberland University.
