Ernie Allen Named Voice of Bulldog Basketball

Nashville sports and entertainment legend will be the primary public address announcer for Fisk Athletics

NASHVILLE- Fisk University athletic director Valencia Jordan announced today that long-time Nashville radio personality Ernie Allen has agreed to be the primary public address announcer for the school's basketball games. Allen, efficiently known as EA, is the host of "Let's Talk With Ernie Allen" on 92Q Radio. EA has a long history in sports announcing. He retired from TSU in 2022 after 37 years of being the voice of football, basketball, and the Aristocrats of Bands. 

"Having EA onboard is certainly a treat for me personally," said Jordan. "He is known all over Nashville and respected. I'm glad that we were able to talk him out of retirement. He will bring excitement to our games."

Allen handled public address duties last season for Fisk on a limited basis. When he is not available, Fisk sports information director Scott Wallace will fill in.
